einirb@dateb.co.uk

Einir Burrowes is the principal of Dateb. She holds an MBA and is a fluent Welsh speaker. Before forming Dateb in January 2002, she held senior positions with ELWa, Mid Wales TEC and Powys TEC and has good ëhands-oní knowledge of programme delivery and operational matters.

She has extensive experience of the learning sector having held senior positions with ELWa, Mid Wales TEC and Powys TEC. She has fulfilled a variety of roles including Regional Director (Mid Wales), Head of Strategy and Policy and Head of Finance and, therefore, has good "hands-on" knowledge of programme delivery and operational matters.

Since establishing Dateb, Einir has undertaken a number of research and evaluation projects, both independently and in association with Old Bell 3, with a strong focus on learning and skills. Studies for ELWa (now DELLS) include an Evaluation of Future Skills Wales, a Study of the Costs of Welsh Medium Higher Education Provision (as part of the London Economics team), an ongoing evaluation of ELWa/DELLS' Bilingual Learning Strategy, an Evaluation of the Managing Farms with ICT project, an Evaluation of the E-learning and ILT Programme. Dateb (working with Old Bell 3) has recently been awarded contracts from DELLS to undertake an evaluation of the National Practitioners Training Programme and a new evaluation of E-learning.

Einir has also developed a particular expertise in the role of ESF. She project managed the Mid Term Evaluation Update of Objective 3 for Old Bell 3 (which involved examining the impact of ESF in both the Objective 1 and 3 Programmes) and played a major role in the "Umbrella Evaluation" of completed Structural Fund Projects for WEFO and the evaluation of WCVA European projects with Old Bell 3.
